The Family Reunion celebrates Black and Brown cooking traditions that have shaped American cuisine while also showcasing the next generation of food and wine professionals currently moving the industry forward.
Nolan was one of the inaugural presenters, leading the breakout session, “GRACE the Musical: Welcome to our Table,” a panel discussion of the history and themes that have inspired his new musical, featuring GRACE ambassadors Chef Carla Hall and Sheila C. Johnson along with Dr. Jessica B. Harris, award-winning author of High on the Hog, the book that has inspired the same-titled Netflix documentary series,
Nolan also presented three songs from the musical featuring GRACE leads Nova Payton and Kevin McAllister, accompanied by Paul Byssainthe, Jr.
